What Is Auditory Processing?

Auditory Processing is defined as the brain’s ability to process or understand spoken language. This is not a higher order, cognitive issue, it is a delay or disfunction in a portion of the auditory processing system. Usually children with an Auditory Processing Disorder have perfect hearing but at some poing in processing what they hear, something doesn't function properly.
