Teen's Gratitude Journal Keeps Things in Perspective
Posted on November 20 2015
Once children hit middle and high school their lives are extremely busy. Between juggling homework, sports and other extracurriculars their is little time to reflect on all the good things in their world. Have your kids keep a gratitude journal that they write in once a week or more. Have a designated time that they should write one thing that they are grateful for from the past week. It could be that mom or dad drives them to soccer every time or that they got extra help from their math teacher that week. These simple reminders that their world is filled with small things they should be grateful for helps them keep perspective on all the potentially negative things that can hit them each week.
