Partner Reading Made Easy
Posted on January 29 2016
Partner reading is often helpful for students because, if paired properly, students will learn much from each other. Students should take turns being the "guide" and the "student". While being a guide the students should help their partner sound out words, ask thought provoking questions and engage in discussion after the reading. The student should read and explore the text, allowing the guide to help them through unfamiliar vocabulary and topics to increase fluency and comprehension. Using the Check-A-Roo is an excellent way to manage partner reading.
